Story initiates the process.
Research reveals that when reading a story, different brain regions collaborate to create an experience much like recalling a real-life event. It’s no wonder then, that we want to savor the story at the end of a magical movie or great book. Story, particularly a fable with a transformational format, easily grabs our attention. When called by story, we pause to ask, ‘what happens next?’ Suddenly we care about the story, allowing its message to soak in. In other words, savor, soak, repeat. With a bar of soap in our hands, a guided visualization in our ears, and an inspiring story in our hearts, we can move from worry to wonder. There is no top-secret formula, no overly complicated process, just a fun and innovative approach we playfully call “Bathology.” |
